Getting started

Install Herbie on an iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 18 or later, then introduce your cat. Your first cat’s games, care, widgets and sharing are free.

PixelHerb widgets

Follow the widget setup guide. PixelHerb and Portrait widgets can record supported care. Open Herbie now and then to keep its summary current; iOS controls widget refresh timing, so displayed changes may not appear immediately.

Siri and quick actions

Herbie includes Siri and Shortcuts actions for supported care and game tasks. Bird Watching and Mouse Hunt can also be started from Control Centre or the Action button.

Sharing your cat home

The owner signs in with Apple in Herbie Settings and starts a shared cat home. Apple’s sharing screen handles invitations and permissions. The other human needs Herbie and the invited iCloud account.

Apple Watch

The Watch experience needs Herbie Pro, watchOS 10 or later and a compatible paired iPhone. Check that Herbie is installed on both devices, your purchase is restored on the phone and the devices can connect.

Watch completion is sent to the paired iPhone. Herbie does not promise standalone operation or instant sync.

Purchases and restore

Herbie Pro is a one-time purchase for the Watch experience and the ability to add more cats. On a new device, open Settings → Herbie Pro and tap Restore purchase. Apple handles purchase confirmation, payment details and Family Sharing eligibility.

Reminders and Calendar

Notification and Focus settings can delay or hide reminders. Herbie reminders follow the device’s time zone and are not urgent or emergency alerts. You can snooze a reminder or dismiss care that was not needed.

Optional Calendar sync manages Herbie’s own key date events in a Herbie calendar. Turning it off removes that calendar and its events; other calendars are untouched.

iCloud backups

Herbie can keep private backups in your own iCloud database when something changes or when you choose Back up now. You can choose a backup by date, turn automatic backups off and delete backups in Herbie. AndyHQ cannot read them.

Export and deletion

Settings → Export care data creates a copy. Delete everything removes the local copy after confirmation. On a shared device, it detaches that device without silently erasing the home for everyone.
